Sunday Sips | Temescal Pils

Like a month to a flame, I was slowly moved towards glowing three door cooler.

There was a yellow can that stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm not sure why I was drawn to it, maybe it was because I could tell by the design that it was a Temescal can, and I always enjoy their beers. I wasn't in the mood for anything heavy as I was driving and had a lot I wanted to get done at home later that day.

That bright yellow can was the Temescal PILS (a modern pilsner) from their new facility they just opened up in December. Come to find out this is a new flagship beer, which is rad, because this beer was awesome.

The beer itself was the perfect golden yellow that matched it's label. It was pretty, simple, and well executed. It had a bright white head, hop forward pallet, with good spice and flavor.  And at 5% it was something I could enjoy a couple of and continue on with my day.

I enjoyed another Temescal Pils accompanied by a small plate of water crackers & Humbolt Fog, a delicious soft goat cheese with a ribbon of vegetable ash through it that was a symphony of herby floral & subtle citrusy notes. Both the beer & cheese finished clean which I really enjoyed.

Anyone out there tried Temescal yet? Who's in the Bay Area? comment below or on this post on Instagram! I'd love to hear :) ...really, I'm not just one of those people who says that lol tell me!
